About Us
ABOUT GEEK CUSTOMS & COATINGS
Geek Customs & Coatings was built around a simple idea: do things differently. We don't want to be another shop turning out the same work as everyone else. Whether we're working on a complete vehicle, a single part, or a commercial project, our goal is to provide quality craftsmanship and create something that stands out.
BUILT FROM A MECHANICAL BACKGROUND
With 10 years of hands-on mechanical experience, our background goes well beyond coatings. That experience gives us a better understanding of how the parts we work with actually function, fit, and work together. It also allows us to offer services that many coating shops can't, including vehicle teardown and reassembly, lift kit installation, suspension work, and more involved custom projects.
MORE THAN A POWDER COATING SHOP
Powder coating is a major part of what we do, but our capabilities go much further. We offer abrasive blasting, Cerakote and high-temperature coatings, welding and custom fabrication, CNC plasma cutting, lift and suspension installation, vehicle teardown and reassembly, and other custom services.
Our work isn't limited to automotive projects either. We work with automotive and powersports parts as well as residential, commercial, industrial, equipment, and one-off custom projects.
BUILT IN-HOUSE
One of our biggest goals has been bringing as much of the process as possible under one roof. Instead of sending a project between several different shops, we're able to handle multiple stages of a build ourselves.
Depending on the project, that can mean starting with a complete vehicle or raw material and handling the teardown, fabrication, welding, CNC plasma cutting, abrasive blasting, surface preparation, coating, and final assembly in-house.
FROM SMALL PARTS TO LARGE PROJECTS
We're set up to handle everything from small individual components to larger projects. Our powder coating oven measures approximately 5' wide × 6' high × 12' long, allowing us to accommodate a wide range of automotive, residential, commercial, and industrial parts.
Our abrasive blasting and fabrication capabilities also allow us to take on projects that don't fit into the typical definition of a custom automotive shop.
YOUR PROJECT DOESN'T HAVE TO FIT A CATEGORY
Some of the best projects don't fit neatly into one of the service tabs on our website. If you have an idea, a part that needs modified, something that needs restored, or a completely custom project you're trying to bring to life, talk to us.
If it's something we have the equipment and capability to do properly, we're always interested in looking at something different.
SET APART FROM THE ORDINARY
We continue investing in equipment, capabilities, and new processes because we want to offer more than basic, off-the-shelf work. We want customers to be able to bring us an idea and have one shop capable of handling as much of that project as possible.
Different by design. Built with purpose. Finished to stand out.
